WSBB Bass Interclub Challenge Rules

The WSBB Interclub is being run as a social competition where the winners take the glory (and a trophy!) as prizes.

With this in mind the rules and regulations are in place to keep this enjoyable for all competitors and keep it fair. 

 

 

Event Registration is on Friday 24th March 2017 between 6pm and 8pm with the event briefing on Friday night around 8pm. Briefing is to be attended by at least one competitor from each team. There will be no briefing Saturday morning. Catch sheets will be handed out at the briefing.

 

 Fishing Times:

Saturday: 25th March 6:00am to 4:30pm Tags to be in by 5.00pm

Sunday: 26th March 6am to 11am All catch sheets and tags in by 11.30am

Safety:

Worthiness of craft being used in this event is the responsibility of the competing angler and safety is of prime importance. Contestants fishing the Interclub do so at their own volition and risk. All craft must comply with Waterways safety rules.


WSBB will not accept any responsibility or any accident, injury or loss occasioned during this event.

 

All anglers must hold a current NSW recreational fishing license.

All Bass measured to fork length. All catches between 300mm and 400mm must be verified by another team before being recorded. The catch should be released with the verifying team present. Catches over 400mm should be bought back for the competition officials to verify. Catches under 300mm can be veriried by a photo with the key tag visible in the photo. Measure mat must in increments of 1 millimetre.

All anglers must leave from the ramp at the camping site. With NO anglers / boats / kayaks or canoes

leaving prior to 6am from the camping site.

Anglers will be allowed to launch before 6am, but will be asked to remain in front of the site until the designated start time.

Tags returned after 5:00pm Saturday or 11:30am Sunday will be penalised by way of ????

 

 

Fishing will be by lure and or fly only (no bait or burley)

In the interest of fish preservation we encourage the use of barbless hooks.

All competitors must fish in teams of two anglers per boat. If 3 are in one boat then one angler to swing. This must be nominated prior to fishing.

All fish recorded must be measured and verified before they will be counted towards your top five fish tally.

In the event of a draw, a count back on next best fish will take place.

Please record ALL Bass and Estuary Perch caught.

The event is run on a “Catch and Release” basis. Please capture, have your fish measured, photograph (if you wish) and release all fish (except carp) as soon as possible.

The committee’s decision on all matters pertaining to the competition is final. Any or all rules may be subject to changes, without prior notice, but this will be explained in the Friday night briefing.

Kayaks / Canoes and bank fishing is welcomed at this event.


Point score and trophies:

Champion club: best 5 fish from the club

Champion team: best 5 fish from team

Champion male best 5 fish from individual

Champion female: best 5 fish from individual

Champion junior male: best 5 fish from 16 years under competitor

Champion junior female: best 5 fish from 16 years under competitor


Combined length of all fish caught will be the determining factor for winners of this competition.
